Present Laughter, by Noel Coward

The Drill Hall, Chepstow — 20th–22nd November 2025
(4 performances, 2 alternating casts)

One of our November productions brought Noel Coward’s razor-sharp wit to life with two vibrant casts, each offering their own playful energy and interpretation.
Set in the glamorous world of 1930s theatre, Present Laughter follows the chaotic life of celebrated actor Garry Essendine as admirers, lovers, and unexpected guests descend on his London flat in a whirlwind of comedy.

Performed over four sold-out shows at The Drill Hall, this production showcased the charm, sophistication, and comic precision that makes Coward’s work so irresistible — and audiences loved seeing the story through two unique ensembles.

Private Lives, by Noel Coward

The Board School, Chepstow — 1st November 2025
(2 performances, 1 cast — Afternoon Tea & Cocktails)

Earlier in the month, we opened our Noel Coward double-feature with a stylish, intimate staging of Private Lives. Performed at the historic Board School in Chepstow, audiences enjoyed two special themed performances — Afternoon Tea and Cocktails — making the experience as elegant as the play itself.

Coward’s timeless comedy of romance, rivalry, and razor-sharp dialogue delighted audiences as divorced couple Elyot and Amanda find themselves reunited — accidentally — while honeymooning with their new spouses.
With sparkling chemistry, beautifully observed comedy, and a setting that immersed audiences in the era, Private Lives delivered a perfectly irresistible night (and afternoon!) of theatre.
